P38 Show Stoppers and Recalls

With the help of the P38 fanatics on AULRO I have compiled this list of things which will disable the P38, plus factory recalls

Pre 1999 ABS modulator is a serious issue for some models
Here is the thread
Factory bulletin re thor idler pulleys, the plastic ones cause issues and are superceded
The Fans have been known to disintegrate, not surprising after around 15 years
Crank Position Sensor (cps). Note: If you cool it it may get you home.
Fuel pump failure will certainly stop things. Wayne said "I have the access hole cut and can change the pump from start to finish in around 20mins."
